Have you ever heard that the Christian life will be easy? As you have probably discovered by now, this is far from the truth. Throughout the scriptures, God shows us that life is bound to be difficult at times in our lives. But, Even though you will face times of struggle and crisis, you can rest assured that the Good Shepherd is with you.
In your life, storms will come whether you build your life on the firm foundation of Jesus' words or the flimsy foundation of worldly wisdom. Jesus told His disciples they would have tribulation in the world, but they did not need to be afraid because He has overcome the world (John 16:33).
We live in a fallen world, and at times, you will have times to experience the effects of sin in significant ways. You may experience times of anger, confusion, sorrow, or uncertainty, but you do not have to worry. Your Shepherd is with you. He leads us through the dark valleys and provides us comfort along the journey. The valleys in this broken world cannot be avoided, but you can navigate them so much better when led by the Good Shepherd.
"Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." - Psalm 23:4
God's direction is always the best way to follow through the highest peaks and lowest valleys. When He is your Shepherd, you can find comfort no matter what happens.
